NIPPON CULTURE
NIPPON CULTURE includes an extensive variety of accompanying events, ranging from the traditional – a Japanese tea ceremony and Japanese court music – to contemporary culture, including a karaoke bar, a manga workshop and video games arcade. We also celebrate the art of Japanese tattoos, Japanese paper theater (kamishibai) and, as a special treat, Japanese shibari (bondage) with a live performance. Accompanying the movie screenings are filmmakers’ talks, lectures and a podium discussion with well-known specialists on Japanese cinema. At our legendary festival parties lots of fantastic DJs will rock the festival center until the early morning.
Venue if not stated otherwise: Festivalzentrum (Studierendenhaus Campus Bockenheim, Jügelstr. 1, Frankfurt)
Further Venues: Aula (Uni-Campus Bockenheim, Mertonstr. 17, Frankfurt), Galerie Station im Künstlerhaus Mousonturm, Waldschmidtstr. 4, Frankfurt und Landungsbrücken Frankfurt, Gutleutstr. 294, Frankfurt
