The Japanese Filmfestival Nippon Connection, which had its 6th anniversary in April 2006, invites you to join us at our Chill & Grill party. We'll have German and Japanese barbecue creations and drinks. We'll also have an open-air short movie program at the Campus later in the evening, with our BEST-OF of the Nippon Connection festival (in case of bad weather, please join us at the KOZ).
BTW: There will also be some Nippon Connection t-shirts, bags and posters available.

Nippon Connection 2007

- We would like to thank the audience, all visitors and everyone who helped us this year to make the Nippon Connection Filmfestival possible! We are all still quite exhausted, but it was loads of fun again! We've already got the new date for next year to share with you: 18th April to 22nd April 2007. It's going to be the 7th (!) Nippon Connection - Japanese Filmfestival. See you next year!!
Nippon Connection Festival on Tour
After the Nippon Connection Festival in Frankfurt many films are going on tour through different cities in autumn 2006. Current dates can be found in our updated tour section.
Nippon Cinema Award 2006 - The Winners!
24th April 2006
- The Nippon Cinema Award 2006 went to: UNIVERSITY OF LAUGHS (Warai no daigaku) by Mamoru HOSHI, the second winner is TRAIN MAN by Shosuke MURAKAMI, and the third winner is HI-BI: DAYS OF FIRE by Banmei TAKAHASHI. The Nippon Cinema Award was endowed with a 2,000 Euro prize for the first time. The cash prize is possible courtesy of Bankhaus Metzler.

All tickets for film presentations taking place on the day you are visiting the festival can be purchased at the Festivalzentrum - 1st floor / All tickets for film presentations taking place on any of the following days can be purchased at the Festivalzentrum - ground floor. For Nippon Retro please call 069 - 212.388.30 to reserve tickets. For Nippon Cinema (re-runs at the Valentin) plesae call: 069 - 308.6927 to reserve tickets.
